It's Christmas time and Aamir Khan couldn't have given a better present to fans other than 'Dangal'.
With 'Dangal' the actor has once again proved why he is known as Mr. Perfectionist and hits gold at the box office.
The Nitesh Tiwari-directorial tells the story of Mahavir Singh Phogat, a national-level wrestling champion, who overcomes failure and lives up his dream of winning gold for his country by training his daughters to win at the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth games.
Dangal Movie Review:'Dangal' is undoubtedly the best movie of this year
The last and most-awaited movie of the year 2016 has hit the right chords and will truly emerge as a winner at the box office.
To begin with let me make it very clear that the movie has absolutely NO similarity with Salman Khan's 'Sultan'.
Dangal is purely wrestling based true story of Mahavir Singh Phogat, who trained his daughters Geeta and Babita and made them world class wrestlers.
PLOT: Mahavir Phogat (Aamir Khan) is a national champion wrestler in Haryana who never won gold medal in his career. He is married to Daya (Sakshi Tanwar) and wishes to have a son whom he will train to make his dream of winning a gold medal come true. But fate doesn't seem to support Mahavir and his wife Daya delivers four daughters in the hope of a son. Mahavir then feels that his dream will remain unfulfilled.

But here comes the twist!
One fine day, Mahavir’s first and second daughters Geeta(Suhani Bhatnagar) & Babita(Zaira Wasim)beat up some local boys and the journey of Mahavir to train them to win gold medals starts.
The young girls are reluctant initially and find it tough to cope with the grueling training sessions, but soon become proficient in the sport. Will Geeta and Babita manage to fulfil their father’s dream?
The movie without any doubt is an Aamir Khan show, with some brilliant star cast supporting him throughout.
Direction: Director Nitesh Tiwari who has previously helmed 'Chillar Party' & ' Bhoothnath Returns' has finally added a feather to his cap with this movie. His narrative style is simplistic and truly deserves brownie points for narrating the story with without getting preachy at any point.
There is not a single moment in the movie where you would like to blink your eyes as you get involved so much into each and every character.
He has taken care of each and every small details be it the village akhada or the stadium of the commonwealth games, 2010.
Dangal Review: Aamir Khan excels as Mahavir Phogat
And since it's an Aamir Khan movie and you can't imagine it to lack the emotional factor. The journey of Aamir from being a strict father to coach and then a rock solid support to make his daughter win her first international medal is incredible.
Acting: Aamir Khan is returning to the silver screen after taking break for almost two years, his last movie was PK in the year 2014 and now the actor is ready to take over the box-office with 'Dangal'.
From flaunting his chiselled and toned body in as young Mahavir to playing an aged Phogat, Aamir potrayas his character with such ease that will make you fall in love with him.
From his expressions, body language to a pot-bellied, middle-aged father, Aamir excels his part as Mahavir Phogat.
The girls are all together on a different level!

Both Fatima Sana Shaikh as Geeta and Sanya Malhotra as Babita Phogat are powerhouse of talents and win our hearts with their kick ass performances.
They also made the film look so convincing with their striking resemblance with the real Phogat sisters.
The teenage girls Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar -who played young Geeta and Babita too looked fantastic onscreen and are supremely talented.
Dangal girls win our hearts
The scene when Young Geeta(Suhani Bhatnagar) enters the wrestling hall and comes out as grown-up Geeta(Fatima Sana Shaikh) will make you believe that the makers have worked a lot on the characterisation.
Sakshi Tanwar as Mahavir's wife Daya made her character look real, raw and believablee, even in her small role with few screen presence.
Dangal Movie Review: Sakshi Tanwar as Aamir's wife looks convincing onscreen
Aparshakti Khurrana as grownup Omkar(Mahavir's nephwe) looks fantabulous in his supporting role, every time he comes on screen and automatically brings smile to audiences face with his unique way of delivering his dialouges.
Vivan Bhatena and Girish Kulkarni as Geeta & Babita's coach look perfect in their small roles.
Music: Pritam has done a nice job, the title track crooned by Daler Mehendi gives you goosebumps every time when is plays in the background. Also 'Haanikarak Bapu', 'Dhaakad' & 'Gilahri' are melodious.
Overall 'Dangal' is a masterpiece, a perfect Christmas feast for and clearly the best movie of this year which will remain in our hearts for a long time.
