Coronavirus: James Bond Film 'No Time To Die' Release Postponed Due To COVID-19 Outbreak

Daniel Craig starrer 'No Time To Die', which is the 25th film of 007 series, was set to hit the theatres next month however it will now release in November this year.

New Delhi: On the backdrop of rapidly increasing incidence of deadly Coronavirus case in many countries, many films are being delayed, stars are skipping multi-city tours, there are appeals to postpone big franchises and tours are being rescheduled. These are some of the coronavirus scare effects, with the deadly virus fast turning into a potential threat for showbiz the world over. Not only Bollywood, but Hollywood films are also getting affected due to COVID-19 outbreak. Due to the same, the release date of much-awaited James Bond film 'No Time To Die' has been pushed. Yes, you read that right! The 25th film of 007 series was set to hit the theatres next month however it will now release later this year in November. The announcement regarding the same was made on the official 'James Bond' Twitter handle. The post reads, "MGM, Universal and Bond producers, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, announced today that after careful consideration and thorough evaluation of the global theatrical marketplace, the release of NO TIME TO DIE will be postponed until November 2020." Take a look at the tweet below: The film will now hit theaters in the U.K. on Nov. 12 and worldwide on Nov. 25. "No time To Die" is directed by new-age maverick and Emmy-winner Cary Joji Fukunaga, who made mark calling the shots on "True Detective". This is the fifth time that Daniel Craig will be seen essaying the role of James Bond. He started off with "Casino Royale" in 2006, and followed it up with "Quantum Of Solace" (2008), "Skyfall" (2012) and "Spectre" (2015). Coming back to Coronavirus outbreak, it emerged in China and has spread globally. As per reports, more than 94,000 people have contracted the virus worldwide, with more than 3,200 deaths.
