Background
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan, Arbaz Seth Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha and five others will be produced before a Mumbai court on Thursday (October 7) in connection with a raid at an alleged rave party on a cruise. An Esplanade court sent Khan, Merchant, Dhamecha and others to NCB custody till October 7.
Aryan Khan’s lawyer will apply for his bail again as his NCB custody is ending on Thursday. During the last hearing, NCB sought custody of Khan and others to verify links related to the case. Additional Solicitor-General Anil Singh contended that the links found on Khan's WhatsApp chats pointed to an international racket, as per IANS.
Satish Maneshinde, who represented Aryan, told the court that his client was invited by the party organisers and Khan didn't pay any amount for the party. He added that no drugs were found on him and NCB couldn't only rely on WhatsApp chats in the case.
The court rejected Khan, Merchant and Dhamecha's plea for bail and sent them to NCB's custody after hearing the arguments between the NCB lawyers and the advocates of the trio.
Aryan Khan Remand Hearing: SRK's Son Sent To 14-Day Judicial Custody
A Mumbai magistrate court sent Aryan Khan and seven others to 14 days judicial custody in connection with the drugs seizure case. The court declined the NCB's plea seeking further custody till October 11 for the main accused. The case has also been transfered for further hearing to the Special NDPS Court.
What Satish Maneshinde Said In Court?
According to Bar and Bench, Satish Maneshinde told the court that there was 'nothing on record' to show that the accused in the case were connected. Satish, who is Aryan's lawyer, had earlier represented Rhea Chakraborty in Sushant Singh Rajput's case.
