New Delhi: The lockdown might have put a brake on several industries and businesses, but it did not stop actor Prabhas from announcing his upcoming 3 big banner films. The actor got his universal recognition with Rajamouli’s movie ‘Bahubali’. After ‘Radhe Shyam’ and the untitled movie with Deepika Padukone, Prabhas recently made another announcement about his upcoming movie with Om Raut ‘Adipurush’. Modelled on the ‘Ramayana’, the makers of this movie recently revealed that Saif Ali Khan will be portraying the role of ‘Ravana’ in this saga. There have been a lot of speculations as to who will be illustrating the character of ‘Sita’ in the movie. Now, based on a report of a leading entertainment portal, the makers of ‘Adipurush’ has almost locked Anushka Sharma for the role. A source told PinkVilla, “Anushka Sharma is the top contender for the role. Om met and narrated the whole idea to Anushka and she was blown away by his vision. In fact, their meeting had a very positive outcome and it will most likely be her playing Sita on screen.” The ’NH10’ actress who is currently pregnant with her first child is yet to give a final nod to the script. Anushka’s delivery date is scheduled for January 2021 and reportedly, two months post her delivery, she will be ready to start shooting. The source told the same portal, “Anushka will mostly be ready to start shooting within two months post her delivery. Om wants to begin shooting around January and since Adipurush is based on Ramayana, they will first film the portions which won't need Anushka in them. They will kickstart the schedule with the Prabhas-Saif conflict. But it's still not confirmed - Anushka is Om's first choice for the movie but she is yet to sign on the dotted line.” The ‘Band Baaja Baarat’ actress was last seen in the movie ‘Zero’ starring alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.
