New Delhi: One of the most talented actors of this generation, Irrfan Khan, passed away last year on April 29. The ‘Angrezi Medium’ actor lost the battle of life to colon infection and is survived by his wife Sutapa Sikdar and two sons – Babil and Ayan.
After the death of Irrfan Khan, his elder son Babil has been sharing throwback memories of the ‘Piku’ actor on his Instagram. He was very close to Irrfan Khan and is following the footsteps of his late father of becoming an actor.

Babil shared a short teaser on his Instagram and wrote, “Tripti freaking Dimri is back again!!!!!! Whooooooo!!! (and a little bit of me ❤️) Also I’m a bit skeptical about the phrase ‘getting launched’ because the audience should launch off their seats while watching our film and not any individual actor. "From the creators of Bulbbul, Clean Slate Filmz and Anvita Dutt, we bring you #Qala, a Netflix Original film. Qala will be here soon to share her story of her fight for a place in her mother's heart."
A few days back, Babil also shared a post after wrapping up his first shooting schedule. He penned down a note which read, “I realised that it is absolutely necessary to remember that your self-importance will drown you if you’re not extremely careful and honest with yourself. You are part of a story and the story will always be bigger than you. (Whether you are an actor or not). Have a great day today! (Also this is my friend Rabia, I have 3 friends in total, she is the oldest one.)”
Meanwhile, Irrfan Khan received the Best Actor Award in the Filmfare Awards 2021. Babil accepted the award on his father’s behalf. He also wore late Irrfan’s outfit to the event. Filmfare Awards 2021 will be aired today on Colors TV from 12 pm.
