Amitabh Bachchan Shares Poem From Hospital, Expresses Gratitude To Fans For Their Prayers

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan thanked his well-wishers for their prayers by sharing a poem on social media.

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday (July 11). The father-son duo is currently admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati hospital. Big B and Abhishek took to social media to inform their fans that they have tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. According to sources from the hospital, the two are responding well to the treatment. Fans have flooded Amitabh and Abhishek’s social media handles with their warm messages. Special prayers are being organized in different parts of the country for Bachchans’ speedy recovery. Senior Bachchan thanked the fans for their prayers and wishes by sharing a poem from the hospital. The ‘Deewar’ actor, who is a pro when it comes to words, expressed gratitude to the well-wishers on Twitter and Instagram.

Abhishek’s wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya Bachchan have also tested positive for COVID-19. They will observe self-quarantine at their home. Jaya Bachchan and other family members have tested negative. Abhishek, who was recently seen in 'Breathe Into The Shadows', tweeted, "Aishwarya and Aaradhya have also tested COVID-19 positive. They will be self quarantining at home. The BMC has been updated of their situation and are doing the needful.The rest of the family including my Mother have tested negative. Thank you all for your wishes and prayers."

Amitabh posted a tweet from the hospital last night, which read: "It shall not be possible for me to acknowledge and respond to all the prayers and wishes expressed by them that have shown concern towards Abhishek, Aishwarya, Aaradhya and me .. I put my hands together and say ..Thank you for your eternal love and affection." The 'Coolie' star thanked the fans for praying his family's speedy recovery.

Although, the 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' host is currently in the hospital, he continued to write on his personal blog. The veteran actor wished two of his fans on their birthday. On the professional front, Amitabh was last seen in Shoojit Sircar's 'Gulabo Sitabo'. The film co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana released on Amazon Prime Video last month.
