Big B & Abhishek Miss Jaya Bachchan On Her Birthday As She Is Stuck In Delhi Due To COVID-19 Lockdown

Amitabh, Abhishek and Shweta Bachchan shared heartfelt posts for Jaya Bachchan on her birthday.

New Delhi: Veteran Bollywood actress Jaya Bachchan turned a year older on Thursday (April 9). The ‘Guddi’ actress couldn’t celebrate her 72^nd birthday with her family members in Mumbai as she is stuck in Delhi due to the lockdown imposed by the government to combat the further spread of Coronavirus. Amitabh Bachchan took to his blog to express his feelings on Jaya’s birthday. "Jaya's birthday today and the distance where she is stuck, reduced by the inventions of the day in virtual technology .. she was in Delhi at Parliament when the lockdown happened and she could not come back home, in Mumbai," Big B wrote in his Tumblr blog. "She is at home in Delhi, within controlled conditions and of course the entire day never passes without FT 's and sharing of conversations which make it seem as though we are all together," the ‘Paa’ actor further wrote. Amitabh Bachchan also shared a photo with Jaya Bachchan and thanked his fans for their warm wishes on the latter’s birthday. He tweeted, “T 3496 - To them that have wished Jaya on her birthday today, my gratitude and love .. thank you for remembering her .. it will be impossible to respond to each of you individually , hence this .. love धन्यवाद और आभार  she has been given your wishes and she sends her thanks.”

Abhishek Bachchan penned a heartfelt post for his mother on Instagram. He wrote, “As every child will tell you, their favourite word is... MA! Happy Birthday, Ma. Although you are away in Delhi due to the lockdown and we all are here in Mumbai, know that we are thinking of you and carry you in our hearts. I love you."

Shweta Bachchan shared an adorable throwback photo with Jaya and Abhishek on Instagram. The caption for the post read, “I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart) I am never without it (anywhere I go you go ...)-happy birthday Mama; I love you ( with a little help from e e Cummings ).”
