New Delhi: Ameesha Patel, Sunny Deol starrer 'Gadar 2' will be out in theatres in August 2023. Recently, Ameesha took to her official social media handle to issue a clarification regarding her role in the film. Sharing a still from the recently released teaser of 'Gadar 2', in which we see Sunny Deol mourning and praying in front of a grave, Ameesha wrote,"Hey all my lovely fans!! Too many of u have been concerned n worried about this shot from GADAR 2 thinking it is SAKINA who is dead!!! well it’s not !! Who it is I can’y say but it is NOT SAKINA ! So pls don’t worry !! Love u all”

The teaser of 'Gadar 2' created quite some discussion on social media about Sakina being dead. Ameesha plays the role of TaraSingh( Sunny Deol) wife in the film. Since the teaser release, many fans have been speculating if it is Sakina who is killed in a possible cross-border altercation and the grave being that of hers. Many even went ahead to suggest that the purple colour of Ameesha's eyes from the rehashed song 'Udd Jaa Kale Kaava' suggests that she might be dead.

Interestingly, what stuck was the fact that soon after Ameesha issues this 'clarification' on Instagram, fans blamed her for giving away a major spoiler about teh film ahead of its release on August 11. A user wrote, "Story bhi batado," while another wrote, "Ese to puri movie hi reveal kar dogi mam." Another disappointed fan wrote, "Why you are you spoiling the movie before it's release, people would have gone in anticipation of something wrong with Sakina, now you curtailed the audience by giving the spoiler out, or may be you are just bluffing."

‘Gadar 2’ is the sequel of Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel starrer ‘Gadar’ which was released in 2001 and became one of the biggest blockbusters of the time. The first part also starred Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in the lead.
