Akshay Kumar's ‘Sooryavanshi’ POSTPONED Amid Coronavirus Scare, Actor Says- 'Safety Always Comes First'
The makers of Sooryavanshi have decided to delay the film's release owning to the Coronavirus scare.
New Delhi: The makers of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ have decided to postpone the release date of the film owing to the Coronavirus outbreak. The action drama co-starring Katrina Kaif was all set to hit the silver screens on March 24. Akshay took to Twitter and Instagram to announce that the film’s release date has been postponed. The 'Good Newwz' actor wrote, "Because our safety always, always comes first. Stay safe and take care of yourself."
"Sooryavanshi is an experience that we have created for you with over a year of dedication and hard work, and the response we received for its trailer was nothing less than electrifying and made it clear that this film truly belongs to its audience.
We have been as excited as you are to present the film to you and your family, but due to recent outburst of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we, the makers, have decided to postpone the release of your film Sooryavanshi, keeping in mind the health and safety of our beloved audience. And therefore, Sooryavanshi will be back for you just when the time is right,” the official statement read.
The decision comes after Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal announced on Thursday (mach 12) that all cinema halls will remain closed in the captial until March 31 amid the coronavirus outbreak.View this post on InstagramBecause our safety always, always comes first.
