A Period Saga, ‘Adipurush’ Starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon And Saif Ali Khan Is Set To Release On January 12th

The Om Raut directed film, which also stars Saif Ali Khan in the role of Lankesh, is scheduled to open in theatres on January 12, 2023.

New Delhi: The Adipurush crew turned to social media on the auspicious festival of Mahashivratri to announce the film's new release date.

The multilingual historical saga, which has been hailed as a film that celebrates ‘the triumph of virtue over evil’, is an adaption of the Hindu epic ‘Ramayana’. Prabhas portrays Lord Ram and Saif Ali Khan portrays Lankesh and Kriti Sanon as Sita in the film.

The film was originally intended to be released on August 11, 2022, however that date has now been pushed around.

For the first time, the creators of ‘Adipurush’ have claimed the much sought-after holiday release date. This is supported by the fact that no major film has been formally confirmed for release in Hindi, Tamil or Telugu, according to the source.

In an Instagram post published early Tuesday morning, the Telugu actor, Prabhas informed his fans and followers that the release date of his next film, ‘Adipurush’, has been set for January 12th, 2023.

Ever since Baahubali was launched, Prabhas has amassed a massive fan base across the country. As soon as the release date for Prabhas' magnum opus was revealed, the excitement among fans was palpable.

T-Series Films and Retrophiles are producing the film, which is being bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair under the banners of T-Series Films. Devdatta Nage is playing Hanuman, Sunny Singh is playing Lakshmana along with other actors.
