Miss World 2021 Contest Postponed After Manasa Varanasi Of India & 16 Other Contestants Test Covid-Positive
According to media reports, the competition was postponed after 17 contestants tested positive for Covid-19. The infected contestants include India’s Manasa Varanasi.
Miss World 2021 Cancelled Due To Corona Concerns: The risk of coronavirus is looming once again around the world as the day-to-day activities are slowly picking up pace. The pandemic which has been there for almost two years now has now affected the Miss World 2021 Beauty Pageant as well.
According to media reports, the competition was postponed after 17 contestants tested positive for Covid-19. The infected contestants include India’s Manasa Varanasi. The contest has been postponed indefinitely for now keeping in mind the safety of all the involved people. The information about the postponement was given through the social media page of the Miss World Beauty Pageant.
The grand finale of the beauty contest was scheduled to take place at 4:30 AM this morning. Organizers say that keeping in mind the health and safety concerns, the event has been postponed temporarily. They also informed everyone that the event will be rescheduled in Puerto Rico within 90 days.

The decision has been taken only after a meeting with the medical experts present at the Miss World 2021 event and the Puerto Rico health department. To ensure the safety of the contestants, additional security measures have been implemented. And all the infected participants have also been placed in surveillance.
According to the statement issued, the contestants can go back to their country only when they get permission from the health authorities. Talking about this, Miss World Limited CEO Julia Morley said, “We are eagerly waiting for the return of our contestants to compete for the Miss World crown.”
