BTS Documentary 'BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star' Set to Release in Second Half of 2023 on Disney+

The documentary, which was announced last year, will provide an in-depth look into the nine-year journey of BTS and feature exclusive footage showcasing the members' daily lives.

New Delhi: BTS, the global K-pop sensation, is set to captivate fans once again with the release of their highly anticipated documentary, titled ‘BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star,’ in the second half of 2023. The documentary, which was announced last year, will provide an in-depth look into the nine-year journey of BTS and feature exclusive footage showcasing the members' daily lives.

The documentary is part of a collaboration between Hybe (formerly known as BigHit Music) and Disney +, and it will premiere exclusively on the streaming platform. This partnership has already brought forth various exclusive BTS content on Disney +, keeping fans engaged during the group's hiatus due to their military enlistment responsibilities.

With unprecedented access to a vast library of music and footage spanning the past nine years, ‘BTS Monuments’ aims to chronicle the remarkable rise of BTS as 21st-century pop icons. The series will offer fans a glimpse into the personal lives, thoughts, and future plans of the BTS members as they prepare for their next chapter. In a video released last year, the BTS members expressed excitement about sharing candid stories through the documentary.

Kim So-Yeon, CEO of Walt Disney Company Korea, highlighted the global interest in Korean content and expressed the company's commitment to captivating both domestic and international viewers through exceptional Korean works in the latter half of the year.

While the specific release date of the documentary is yet to be announced, fans can already enjoy various other BTS-related content on Disney +. This includes Suga's documentary ‘Road to D-Day,’ J-Hope's ‘Jack In The Box’ documentary, and the 'Permission to Dance' LA stage.

To further delight their dedicated fanbase, BTS recently released their first official book, titled ‘Beyond The Story: 10-Year Record of BTS.’ This book features anecdotes shared by the members themselves, adding another layer to the comprehensive journey of the group.

As anticipation builds for the release of 'BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star,' fans can look forward to an immersive and intimate exploration of the group's growth, struggles, and triumphs throughout their stellar career.
