I'm Overwhelmed With Gratitude: Ranveer Singh On Being Honoured With Étoile d’or Award At Marrakech International Film Festival

Ranveer Singh attended the Marrakech International Film Festival in Morocco. The actor was beyond excited to represent his country as the ambassador of Indian cinema. 

New Delhi: Ranveer Singh is known as one of the most versatile actors of Bollywood. He has proved his prowess through his impeccable acting in popular films like 'Ram Leela', 'Bajirao Mastani' and the biopic '83' among others. Enjoying a huge fan following worldwide, the star has also represented Indian cinema globally, on different occasions.

Recently, Ranveer Singh attended the Marrakech International Film Festival in Morocco. The actor was beyond excited to represent his country as the ambassador of Indian cinema. At the film festival, he was honoured with the prestigious Étoile d’or Award! Expressing his gratitude over receiving the award, he penned an emotional note along with sharing a series of pictures from the film festival.

Ranveer wrote, "Cinema is a unifying force! I feel immensely honoured that my work has transcended cultural and geographical boundaries, and has earned me such love and recognition in beautiful Morocco 🇲🇦 I’m overwhelmed with gratitude! 🥹 Thank you to the Marrakech International Film Festival for bestowing me with the prestigious Étoile d’or Award! 🙏🏽 Proud to be an ambassador for my culture and represent Indian Cinema on the world stage! 🏆 🇮🇳 @marrakechfilmfestival"

Ranveer Singh attended the Marrakech Film Festival in an embellished maroon and golden sequined sherwani paired with matching maroon churidar. He completed his look with matching juttis.

On the work front, Ranveer Singh will next be seen in 'Cirkus'. The film marks his yet another collaboration with 'Simmba' director Rohit Shetty. Slated for a Christmas release, the multi-starrer film has Jacqueline Fernandez nad Pooja Hegde as the female leads.

Ranveer Singh also has Karan Johar's directorial venture 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' in his kitty. He will be seen opposite his 'Gully Boy' co-star Alia Bhatt in the romantic-comedy. The film also stars veteran actors Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan. The film will hit theatres in April, 2023.
