Joker: Folie À Deux Trailer: The brand-new trailer for ‘Joker Folie À Deux’ is out now. It is a sequel to Todd Philips' highly anticipated Joker movie from 2019. In ‘Joker: Folie À Deux’, Joaquin Phoenix plays the title supervillain again, and Lady Gaga portrays Harley Quinn, his lady love.

Joker: Folie À Deux new trailer

The majority of the film ‘Joker’ takes place in Arkham Asylum, as seen the teaser. Here is where Joker first meets Harley, a woman who instantly connects with him when she sees him smile. In a few moments, we are introduced to the Joker & Harley act, which builds on Joaquin's crazy yet famous dance from the first movie, as the couple sets out on dark escapades.

Harley takes in all the chaos even as Joker amazes with his song; the two seem to be built for each other in Gotham's nightmare. A scene of a calm Harley and Joker harmonising to songs marks the end of the trailer. 

Joker: Folie À Deux plot

As the first trailer suggested, Joker and Harley are seen appearing victorious as they stand on the steps of a courtroom. It also seems that they may be getting married. As expected from this crazy duo, they could be on some sort of criminal rampage. Along with Gaga's Harley dancing on those popular stairs, set photographs and videos also feature Harley singing, Arkham burning down, and even a nod to Harvey Dent (commonly known as Two-Face).

'Joker', directed by Todd in 2019, received eleven Oscar nominations. Joaquin won best actor and Hildur Guðnadóttir took home the original score trophy. The sequel will star Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker/Arthur Fleck , Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn , Catherine Keener, Brendan Gleeson, Zazie Beetz, and Steve Coogan.

The upcoming film ‘Joker 2’ will be released on October 4, 2024. It has been precisely five years after the original film's release. The first film, which won the Golden Lion in 2019, will have its premiere at the Venice Film Festival.
