‘He Has Been Bothering Me For More Than Six Years’: Nithya Menen Recalls Her Harassment By A Viral Film Reviewer

Nithya said that her parents had attempted to block his number but he continued calling from more than 30 different phone numbers.

New Delhi: Nithya Menen, an actress who works in films ranging from Malayalam to Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi, has openly admitted that she has been harassed by a so-called viral film reviewer. She did not reveal the identity of the person she was speaking about, but she did say that she went through all of this while her mother was recuperating from cancer.

She said in a recent interview that he has been harassing her for the last six years. Pinkvilla cited her as stating the following: "Those who believe whatever he says are the real fools. He has been harassing me for a long time. He began to speak about me publicly after he became viral. He has been bothering me for more than six years."

She went on to say that despite everyone urging her to go to the police, she had exhibited patience. She said, “I have shown incredible patience despite everyone asking me to file police complaint. He would call my parents on their phones. Finally, even they had to raise their voice after losing their patients. He would always call even when my mother was recovering from cancer. I have seen my father and mother, who are usually gentle and calm, speak angrily to him.”

In the end, Nithya said that her parents had attempted to block his number but he continued calling from more than 30 different phone numbers despite their efforts.

Meanwhile, she made her most recent appearance in the critically acclaimed film ‘Major’. In Dhanush's forthcoming film, ‘Thiruchitrambalam,’ she'll play a prominent role.
