Ranveer Singh-Rohit Shetty Join Hands For 'Cirkus' Based On Shakespeare's Comedy Of Errors

The director and actor duo is set to spill the magic beans once again with Circus that is set to release next year.

New Delhi: The king of blockbusters Rohit Shetty is set to bring another directorial venture 'Cirkus' an adaptation of William Shakespeare's plays The Comedy of Errors. The film presented by Bhushan Kumar in association with Reliance Entertainment will star Ranveer Singh. After the massive success of Simmba and Sooryavanshi, Cirkus will mark the third outing for the duo who are loved by the audience. ALSO READ: CONGRATS! Comedian Bharti Singh All Set To Welcome Her First Baby In 2021 The film will also feature an eclectic star cast which includes Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Sharma, Siddhartha Jadhav, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Vrajesh Hirjee, Vijay Patkar, Sulbha Arya, Mukesh Tiwari, Anil Charanjeett, Ashwini Kalsekar, and Murli Sharma. Production for Cirkus is set begin next month and the film will be shot in Mumbai, Ooty, and Goa. The film is set to release in the winter of 2021. According to recent reports, the duo will also reunite for the official adaptation of the classic cult comedy ‘Angoor’ starring Sanjeev Kumar and Deven Verma. Rohit Shetty has been trying to make the remake of ‘Angoor’ for a long time and has also considered Shah Rukh Khan to step into the shoes of Sanjeev Kumar’s character back in 2015. A source has said that that the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actor will also be playing a double role in the remake of ‘Angoor’. It was also revealed that Shetty utilised time during the pandemic to fine-tune and rework on the script of Angoor adaptation.
