Farah Khan’s mother dies: The mother of renowned choreographer-director Farah Khan and director Sajid Khan, Menaka Irani, passed away on Friday in Mumbai at the age of 79. Menaka had been battling illness for an extended period and had been hospitalised several times in recent months. Menaka Irani suffered from age-related ailments, but the exact cause of her death has not yet been determined.

Menaka was the sister of child stars Daisy Irani and Honey Irani. Menaka herself graced the silver screen in the 1963 film "Bachpan" alongside her sister Daisy. She later married filmmaker Kamran. 

Just two weeks prior, she was discharged from Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital and Farah celebrated her mother's birthday. On social media, Farah expressed her deep love and admiration for her mother, describing her as the strongest and bravest person she knew. The filmmaker shared pictures with her mother and wrote, "We all take our mothers for granted..especially me! This last month has been a revelation on how much i lov my mom Menka.. she's been the strongest, bravest person iv ever seen.. sense of humour intact even after multiple surgeries. Happy birthday mom! Today’s a good day to come back home ♥️ can’t wait for you to get strong enough to start fighting with me again.. i Lov u♥️"
