Alia Bhatt On Loss Of Personal Time After Raha: 'Haven’t Been To Therapy Session In Two Months'

After becoming a mother, Alia confessed that she has faced a real challenge in managing acting and motherhood.

New Delhi: Alia Bhatt has been juggling her mom duties with work quite often. Recently, in an interview with Allure magazine, she gave a glimpse of her life as a mom, sharing that since having her daughter Raha, there is no such thing as personal time, admitting she does not get a moment for herself. Alia called Raha 'naughty and chatty', while also adding that her daughter is a really bright baby who has her moments of shyness. After becoming a mother, Alia confessed that she has faced a real challenge in managing acting and motherhood.

The act of balancing after becoming a mother

“How do I ping-pong between the two and do them well, but also find a way to carve out time for myself, which I’m not able to do. I’ll be very candid right now—there’s no such thing as me time. I’ve not even been able to get a therapy session for the last two months,” said Alia, adding that she has no hesitation in confessing that being a mother has changed her.

Alia also shared her views of parenting in a candid chat with the magazine. She emphasised that parenting is more about being present for your children rather than controlling their lives.

Alia also admitted to experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions, saying, "Your soul is sort of fulfilled, but you are also always full of fear and nerves because of just wanting to do it right and wanting to do it well."

Drawing from her parents' advice, Alia noted, "Children come through you. They’re yours, you are a catalyst, you are a source for their life, but their life is not yours. Their life is theirs, and you just need to give them the tools to deal with their life.”
