Met Gala 2024: Actor Alia Bhatt stunned fans across the globe with her unexpected appearance at the 2024 Met Gala. For the event in New York, Bhatt picked a custom-made, hand-embroidered saree by Indian fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. While the fans are still relishing the breathtaking moment Alia gave us at the Met Gala, Reddit has found old pictures of Deepika Padukone wearing a similar saree. The users have been claiming Alia’s ensemble is inspired by Deepika’s look.

Alia Bhatt, who was styled by Anaita Shroff Adjania for the Met Gala, picked a stunning saree, which has a 23-foot-long embroidered train. The hand-embroidered saree with silk floss took 1965 man-hours to create.
