Actor Sahil Khan Lands In Legal Trouble; FIR Filed For Threatening Woman At Mumbai Gym
The Mumbai Police have registered an FIR against the actor and a woman for allegedly threatening a 43-year-old gym-goer and uploading her defamatory posts on social media
Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sahil Khan is in a legal mire once again. The ‘Style’ actor has an FIR against him for allegedly threatening to kill and upload defamatory posts against a woman. Sahil Khan has been booked under sections 500, 501, 509, 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
The Mumbai Police have registered an FIR against the actor and a woman for allegedly threatening a 43-year-old gym-goer and uploading her defamatory posts on social media, an official told news agency PTI on Wednesday.
According to the complainant, a resident of suburban Oshiwara, she had a quarrel with a woman at a gym over money in February 2023. The accused woman and the actor abused the complainant and threatened her, the official said.
The accused duo also uploaded defamatory posts on social media against the complainant and her family members, he said quoting the First Information Report (FIR) registered on Tuesday.
A case was registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for defamation, threat, and a bid to insult the modesty of a woman at Oshiwara police station.
The official said the accused woman had an affair with the husband of the complainant and had lodged a case against him at a police station.
This is not the first time Sahil Khan has found himself in legal trouble. In September 2021, he was booked fro harrassing and instigating a model and fitness trainer Manoj Patil to attempt to commit suicide, a News18 report said. Other than this, Khan also got into a gym fight with actor Sana Khan's boyfriend Ismail Khan in 2014.
In January this year, a couple in Mumbai was booked for forgery and conspiracy against Sahil Khan. At that time, Sahil had claimed that the couple Soniya Ahmed and Karankumar Dheer had purchased protein supplements worth Rs. 52k from his stone in Oshiwara but 'defaulted on the payment', the News18 report added.
Khan has acted in movies including ‘Style’, ‘Xcuse Me’, ‘Aladin’ and ‘Ramaa: The Saviour’.
