UP Election 2022: Azam Khan's Son Suspects BJP Candidates Of Plotting Attack To Kill Him

Earlier, he had also alleged that the police officers deployed for his security were not trustworthy and he suspected that they could kill him anytime.

New Delhi: Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh assembly election, former minister Azam Khan's son Abdullah Azam Khan on Sunday alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party is hatching a plot to put him 'behind bars' in a fake case. He also said that they could 'orchestrate an attack or accident' to eliminate him.

Abdullah Azam Khan, the Samajwadi Party candidate from Swar seat in Rampur, said, "I am being followed. There is a conspiracy to put me behind bars in a fake case. The BJP candidates from Swar and Rampur seats could have plotted an attack or a road accident to kill me." Earlier, he had also alleged that the police officers deployed for his security were not trustworthy and he suspected that they could kill him anytime.

It is to be noted that Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan's son Abdullah Azam Khan and his wife had filed their nomination papers from the same assembly constituency as party candidates. According to the Election Commission's (EC) website, Mohammad Abdullah Azam Khan and his mother Tazeen Fatima had filed their affidavits from the Swar assembly seat in Rampur district, after Abdullah Azam was released from jail.

Abdullah Azam hits out at BJP

Recently, Abdullah Azam targeted the BJP saying that these are the people who were once afraid to shake hands with the people here. Several years back, even after accidentally shaking their hands, they used to sit in their car and sanitize their hands, Abdullah Azam said.

"We are accused of stealing buffaloes, stealing goats, and stealing books. It was good that there was no FIR for stealing slippers from outside the mosque," he added.
