UP Election Phase 3 Assembly Constituencies:  Voting for the third phase of the elections in Uttar Pradesh (UP) is taking place today, that is,  February 20, Sunday. 59 assembly constituencies from sixteen districts are going to the polls as campaigning for the 3rd phase came to an end on February 18, Friday.

During the third phase of UP Election 2022, 627 candidates are in the fray for 59 assembly seats. In the third phase, there are more than 2.15 crore voters out of which 1.16 crore are males, over 99.6 lakh females, and 1,096 third gender voters eligible to exercise their voting rights. Polling will be held at 25,741 polling stations located in 15,553 polling centers.

With key constituencies like Mainpuri scheduled to go to the polls in the third phase, BJP is consolidating their strategy where they could expect tough competition from Akhilesh Yadav-led SP.

BJP had gained in this region since 2014 and is confident of winning more seats than it did in the last Assembly polls.
