'Fight Between Dorala Sarkar And Prajala Sarkar': Rahul Gandhi's Swipe At KCR Govt Ahead Of Telangana Polls

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi stated that if the party is elected to power in the state, the "six guarantees" offered by Congress will be enacted into law at the first cabinet meeting and executed.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi urged BRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekar Rao on Sunday to explain people what he accomplished for Telangana before challenging the grand old party about what it achieved for the southern state, news agency PTI reported. KCR is overseeing the most corrupt administration in the country, and all of the lucrative posts are held by Rao's family members, Gandhi said during a vote rally here. He stated that if the party is elected to power in the state, the "six guarantees" offered by Congress will be enacted into law at the first cabinet meeting and executed.

"Today there is a fight between Dorala Sarkar (feudal government) and Prajala Sarkar (people’s government) in Telangana. Your chief minister is asking what Congress has done. The question is not what Congress has done, the question is what KCR has done," he was quoted by PTI in its report.

"We have made six promises. As soon as our government is formed, these six promises will become laws. First is the Mahalakshmi Scheme - Rs 2,500 (will be transferred) every month to the bank accounts of women. As soon as the government of the Congress party comes, gas cylinders will cost Rs 500. The Congress government will provide free bus travel for women in all of Telangana," he further stated, ANI reported.

He went on to say that Congress's goal is to defeat the BRS in Telangana and the BJP at the national level afterward.

He stated that the Congress government will defend farmers' interests.

"The farmers would receive Rs 15,000 every year per acre. 24-hour electricity would be provided to farmers free of cost. Labourers would get Rs 12,000 every year. Congress government would provide Rs 5 lakh to the poor for building houses in their bank account. Those who lost their life in the Telangana agitation would get a plot. Congress would provide them 250 sq yard plot. For the youths we are going to provide Vidya Bharosa card in which we will provide Rs 5 lakh for funding college and coaching," he added.

Gandhi said that the Congress created Hyderabad, from which Rao allegedly stole crores of rupees, and made it into an IT powerhouse.

Telangana's assembly elections are scheduled on November 30. The primary contenders in the state are the governing BRS, the Congress, and the BJP. The ballots will be counted on December 3.
