Rs 15 Lakh Health Cover, Gas Cylinder For Rs 400: KCR Announces BRS Manifesto Ahead Of Telangana Polls

BRS chief and Telangana CM KCR on Sunday launched the party manifesto ahead of the assembly polls.

Bharat Rashtra Samithi President and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Sunday announced the party’s manifesto in Hyderabad and launched his campaign for the upcoming assembly polls on November 30. The party has promised to increase the amount of social security pension for Divyang people to up to Rs 6,000. The manifesto promises Rs 15 lakh health cover for all eligible and gas cylinder for Rs 400 for all eligible families.

The party will also enhance the Rythu Bandhu scheme to to Rs 16,000 a year from existing Rs 10,000, CM KCR said.

The list of poll promises was announced by the party after KCR held a meeting with the BRS MLA candidates at the party headquarters here and handed over the B-Forms. This form is a proof that a particular candidate has been fielded by the party in the elections.

He also explained the rules to be followed during the election and gave suggestions to the candidates.

Ahead of the manifesto launch, Telangana Health and Finance Minister T Harish Rao, also a nephew of KCR, said that it would shock the opposition parties in the state.

Later in the day, the BRS chief will address a public meeting at Husnabad in Siddipet district which will mark the launch of his election campaign.

The party is trying to cash on the luck it had from Husnabad during the last assembly elections in 2018 from where it had started the campaign and later achieved grand success.

After Husnabad, the BRS chief who is looking to renew another five-year term in government for the party will be addressing 41 public rallies till November 9 in the first leg of electioneering as per his tentative tour programme.

The party had released a list of 115 candidates out of the total 119 assembly seats in August itself, taking advantage of a head start over the opposition BJP and Congress.
