‘BookMyCM’, ‘Scamgress’: Poster War Between Congress And BRS Escalates In Poll-Bound Telangana

On Saturday morning, 'BookMyCM' posters alleging Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of corruption were displayed in Hyderabad.

A poster war started between the governing Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the Congress in Telangana's Hyderabad. On Saturday morning, 'BookMyCM' posters alleging Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of corruption were displayed in Hyderabad. “Bookmycm deals available @30% commission” the posters targeting CM KCR stated.

The poster war began when posters mocking the Congress were placed across the city ahead of the CWC meeting. The posters, blaming the grand-old party of corruption, labelled the CWC as the "Corrupt Working Committee" and warned the public to "Beware of Scamgress scammers," news agency PTI reported.

Pawan Khera, a prominent Congress leader, accused KCR and his daughter, BRS MLC K Kavitha, of corruption in response to the anti-Congress posters. Khera joked that there is an "agreement" between Kavitha and her father KCR to commit corruption in Telangana, while her brother will do the same in Hyderabad.

“There has been an agreement in K Kavitha’s family. The corruption within Hyderabad will be done by her brother, the corruption within Telangana will be done by her father and the responsibility of corruption outside Telangana is given to K Kavitha…According to this agreement, she is worried that if she loses the election from Telangana, the father and the brother will think of doing corruption outside Telangana,” Khera stated, ANI reported.

Meanwhile, top Congress leaders convened on Saturday for the inaugural meeting of the new CWC, with the goal of developing a comprehensive road map to ensure the party's triumph in the next assembly elections in five states and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
