Single Man With Courage Becomes A Majority, I've Proved It: Shivakumar Amid Karnataka CM Race
Shivakumar, who turned 61 today, said his aim was to deliver Karnataka and he did that and that he will disclose in future what all happened in the last five years.
Amid the race for the next chief minister of Karnataka, Congress state president DK Shivakumar said that under his presidency, the party won 135 seats in the state. “I am the party state president and under my presidency, Congress has won 135 seats in Karnataka,” said DKS, adding that the central leadership has called him and his contender Siddaramaiah to Delhi.
Shivakumar, who turned 61 today, said his aim was to deliver Karnataka and he did that and that he will disclose in future what all happened in the last five years.
"I assured Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Kharge that my only aim is to deliver Karnataka.”

“It's my birthday today, I'll meet my family. Afterward, I'll leave for Delhi. Under my leadership,we've 135 MLAs, all in one voice said-matter (to appoint CM) is to be left to the party high command. My aim was to deliver Karnataka & I did it,” he said.
“I believe in one thing – a single man with courage makes a majority. I’ve proved it. I don’t want to disclose what all has happened in the last five years. I’ll disclose it in future,” he added.
“When all our MLAs left the party, I didn't lose my heart," said DKS referring to horse trading after the Congress formed the government in Karnataka in 2018.
On Monday, the 135 legislators unanimously decided to authorise party president Mallikarjun Kharge to decide on the name for next Karnataka CM, after the resolution was tabled by Siddaramaiah and agreed upon by Shivakumar.
After the passing of the resolution, the three observers appointed by Kharge, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Jitendra Singh, and Deepak Babaria took individual opinions of the legislators and will submit a report on the same to the party high command in New Delhi.
