Revanth Reddy Swear-In: Security Boosted In Hyderabad For Telangana Congress President's Historic Oathtaking

Earlier today, Revanth called on central leaders including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal, and Mallikarjun Kharge, and personally invited them to the oath-taking ceremony.

New Delhi: Telangana Congress chief A Revanth Reddy, who led the Congress to a resounding win in Telangana by dethroning the BRS, will take oath as the next Chief Minister of the state on Thursday in Hyderabad.

The swearing-in of the 54-year-old leader will take place at 1.04 pm at LB Stadium.

Revanth Reddy was the frontrunner for the top post in the state after the party staged a stupendous victory in assembly elections by winning 64 seats in Telangana, upstaging the BRS which has been in power for the last nine years.

Earlier today, Revanth called on central leaders including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal, and Mallikarjun Kharge, and personally invited them to the oath-taking ceremony.

In a post on X, he said, "The time has come for the establishment of Indiramma Rajya which will fulfill the aspirations of all of us in the state of Telangana which was formed by the struggle of students, sacrifices of martyrs, and iron determination of Sonia Gandhi."

"To provide democratic and transparent governance in the state... To form a government for the welfare of the weaker sections, dalit, tribal, minority, farmers, women and youth. With all your blessings, Praja government is going to take oath on December 7, 2023, at 1.04 pm at Hyderabad LB Stadium. This is an invitation to all of you to come to this mahotsava," he added.

He arrived at Begumpet airport in Hyderabad today, after meeting the central leaders in Delhi.

Meanwhile, arrangements for the smooth handling of the event are in full swing at the venue.

In a video shared by news agency ANI, senior Telangana Police officials were seen reviewing security arrangements at the venue, a day before the swearing-in ceremony.

Revanth Reddy Keeps His ‘Job Promise’ To Rajini

Revanth Reddy fulfilled his commitment to Rajni, a physically challenged girl from Nampally, that the Congress government would provide her with the first job if it came to power.

In a post, Reddy said, "As PCC President of Telangana, promised first job to Rajini, a physically challenged girl from Nampally as soon as Congress comes to power. I filled the Congress guarantee card with Rajini's name. Rajini, who completed post graduation expressed her grief that she is not even getting a job in private companies."

Rajini had earlier shared her grief with Reddy that despite being a postgraduate, she couldn't get a job in private companies.
