Gujarat BJP Candidates List 2022: Cricketer Ravindra Jadeja's Wife Rivaba Gets Ticket From Jamnagar North
BJP on Thursday announced its candidates for the upcoming Gujarat Election
Gujarat Polls 2022: Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja's wife Rivaba Jadeja has been allotted the Jamnagar North Vidhan Sabha seat ticket from the Bharatiya Janata Party. Rivaba joined BJP in 2019. Jamnagar North Gujarat assembly seat was earlier held by BJP's Dharmendrasinh Jadeja, also known as Hakubha Jadeja. Rivaba married all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja in 2016 and is a mechanical engineer by education. She is also related to Congress leader Hari Singh Solanki.
Speaking to the media, Rivaba Jadeja said, "The issue of progress and development is important. I will like to express my gratitude to PM Modi, Amit Shah and the Gujarat CM that the party has shown faith in me."
BJP on Thursday announced its candidates for the upcoming Gujarat Election. BJP announced 160 candidates to contest the Gujarat assembly election 2022. 38 new faces have been named in the BJP candidates list, and 69 sitting MLAs have been given tickets again to contest.
Some other prominent names from the BJP candidates list include Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel who is fielded from his constituency Ghatlodia. Former Congress leader Hardik Patel has been given a BJP ticket to contest from the Viramgam constituency.
BJP has also fielded Kantilal Amrutya, a former MLA from Morbi, who reportedly jumped into the river to save people in the recent bridge collapse incident.

The party named its candidates for 84 of the 89 seats which will go to the polls in the first phase on December 1 and 76 of 93 candidates going to the polls in the second phase on December 5.
BJP candidates list for Gujarat includes 14 women, and 13 and 24 members from the Schedules Castes and Schedules Tribes respectively.
Voting for the 182-member Gujarat legislative assembly will be held in two phases, December 1 and December 5, with results to be announced on December 8.
