'Pains Me That State Tops In...': PM Modi's All-Out Attack On Congress In Rajasthan At Project Launch

PM Modi has unveiled development projects worth Rs 7,000 crores in poll-bound Rajasthan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has unveiled various development projects worth over Rs 7,000 crores in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. Ahead of the launch, Prime Minister Narendra offered prayers at the Sanwariya Seth temple in Chittorgarh district and was accompanied by the party's state president CP Joshi, who is Lok Sabha MP from Chittorgarh. PM Modi also greeted priests in the temple. He is also scheduled to attend a public rally in Chittorgarh.

Addressing the public, he said, "Today in Chittorgarh, the projects worth Rs 7,000 crores have been inaugurated. To strengthen the Gas-based economy, a gas pipeline network is being installed in the country. Industries will be expanded due to this and it will also provide employment opportunities."

"We are boosting tourism centres by creating more cultural centres here. Inauguration of new projects will generate employment," he added.

PM Modi launched an all-out attack on the ruling Congress in the state and claimed that the grand old party destroyed the state in five years of their rule. He said, "The Congress government in Rajasthan has destroyed the state in the past 5 years. It pains me that the state tops in crime list... Maximum number of cases of crime against women are from Rajasthan... Is this why you voted for Congress?"

Asserting that people are convinced that the BJP will solved various problems ailing the state, he said, "Rajasthan is saying with great confidence and trust - BJP will come, hooliganism will go, BJP will come and stop the riots, BJP will come and stop stone pelting, BJP will come and stop dishonesty, BJP will come, it will bring women security, BJP will come and bring employment, BJP will come and make Rajasthan prosperous. The message of the people of the state has reached the ears of Congress leaders."

The Prime Minister will also visit Madhya Pradesh today, where he will also launch another slew of projects ahead of the elections due later this year.

On Sunday, BJP top leaders met at party chief JP Nadda's residence to discuss plans for the upcoming assembly polls in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, both currently ruled by the Congress. At the meeting, sources said, the BJP's core group leaders, who are engaged in preparing the party's poll strategy, discussed a range of issues and the names of candidates who could be fielded against the Congress nominees in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh assembly polls, news agency PTI reported.

The BJP has so far named 79 candidates for the polls to the 230-member Madhya Pradesh assembly and 21 for the elections to the 90-member House in Chhattisgarh.
