PM Modi Slams Mallikarjun Kharge, Says Congress Politicised Constitution Of India
As Lok Sabha elections are approaching near, PM Modi is ramping up its electoral campaign in order to gather support for the NDA candidates.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday hailed BJP's election manifesto and stated that this is the first time "some party's 'Sankalp Patra' is being called a 'guarantee card'." In a direct attack against Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge, PM Modi stated that "When I tabled the proposition to commemorate Constitution Day in the Parliament, it was Congress leader Kharge who opposed the proposal."

Speaking about the BJP's manifesto, PM Modi stated: "For the next five years, Modi's 'guarantee card' has been updated. Three crore houses will be made for the poor, the poor will get free ration for the next five years, those above 70 years of age will receive free treatment upto Rs 5 lakhs, PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi will be continued. All these are Modi's guarantees."
Taking a potshot at Congress, PM Modi stated: "The visionaries of our Constitution dreamt of a prosperous India. However, the Congress party that ruled the country for decades lost the opportunity. 25 crore poor have been brought out of poverty by your 'sevak' - Modi."
Drawing a comparison between Congress and NDA's government, PM Modi stated: "When the Congress government was in power, women's self-help groups were given assistance of less than Rs 150 crore. In the 10 years of the NDA government, these women's groups have been given more than Rs 40 thousand crore."
"Our country is filled with diversity. It is a nation of various beliefs, practices, and paths. In such a scenario, for the bright future of our nation, our Constitution is the only sacred system to move forward," he added.
In Gaya, PM Modi seeked public support for Jitan Ram Manjhi, the NDA candidate. Jitan Ram Manjhi, the ex-Chief Minister of Bihar, has contested for electoral victory in Gaya on three occasions, enduring defeat each time. However, his electoral path now encounters a fresh hurdle as he battles against Kumar Sarvjeet, the favoured local candidate from the RJD. Manjhi faces formidable opposition from Sarvjeet, a former minister in the Mahagathbandhan administration and the current MLA representing the Bodh Gaya constituency. The Gaya seat holds notable significance within Bihar's political landscape.
As Lok Sabha elections are approaching near, PM Modi is ramping up its electoral campaign in order to gather support for the NDA candidates. With this aim, PM Modi is aiming to woo voters of constituencies going to elections in the first phase: Gaya, Nawada, Aurangabad, and Jamui.
Ahead of Prime Minister's visit, Security measures were intensified at Gandhi Maidan in Gaya, with the National Security Guard (NSG), Special Protection Group (SPG), and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) assuming responsibility for security operations. The vicinity was been cordoned off, and metal detectors were deployed at every entry point to guarantee the safety of participants.
