'No One Can Stop It': Yediyurappa Exudes Confidence About BJP Win In Karnataka

Yediyurappa exuded confidence in the BJP and said that the party will come to power again in Karnataka if it wins 130-140 seats.

New Delhi: Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Saturday exuded confidence on the Bharatiya Janata Party and said that BJP will come to power again in Karnataka and no one can stop it. Speaking at the party's special executive meeting in Bengaluru, Yediyurappa said if BJP wins 130-140 seats in this year's election, the party will come to power again.

"If we win 130-140 seats in this (Karnataka) election, BJP will come to power again, and no one can stop it. The conflict has started in Congress - "I am CM". Who is the Congress leader?  Rahul Gandhi?," Yediyurappa said during the meeting.

Reacting to the party's decision of appointing Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as the BJP's Incharge and Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai as the Co-Incharge for the upcoming Karnataka Assembly Elections 2023, Yediyurappa said, Annamalai is capable and Dharmendra Pradhan is a very senior leader. He also said It will be helpful for our party to win the elections.

The BJP appointed Dharmendra Pradhan as the BJP's Incharge and K Annamalai as the co-Incharge for the upcoming Karnataka Assembly Elections 2023.

The Karnataka Legislative Assembly election is due before May 2023 and the Election Commission will notify elections for all 224 members of the state Legislative Assembly in the coming months.

The Assembly elections were last held in Karnataka in May 2018. In the election, Janata Dal (Secular) and Indian National Congress (INC) received a thumping victory. JD(S) leader D Kumaraswamy was made the Chief Minister of Karnataka after the elections in 2018. However, the coalition government collapsed in July 2019 and the BJP formed a government. The party appointed BS Yediyurappa as the CM. Later, Yediyurappa resigned in 2021 and paved way for Basavaraj Bommai to become the CM of the state.
