Manipur Election 2022: Polling For Second Phase To Be Conducted On March 5 — Here's List Of Assembly Constituencies

Manipur Election Phase 2 Assembly Constituencies: In the second phase, 22 assembly constituencies from six districts will go to poll on March 5. Polling is being held in Manipur in 2 phases.

Manipur Election Phase 2 Assembly Constituencies: Voting for the first phase of the elections in Manipur is taking place on Saturday, that is March 5. 22  assembly constituencies from six districts are going to the polls as campaigning for the second phase came to an end on Thursday, March 3.

Nearly 8.3 lakh voters, including 425,192 women and 407,224 men, cast their ballots in the Manipur election 2022 second phase.

The second phase of polling can be considered a litmus test for the former chief minister and Congress leader Ibobi Singh, former deputy chief minister Gaikhangam, incumbent ministers Letpao Haokip (sports), Losii Dikho (public health engineering), Awangbow Newmai (forest) from Thoubal, Nungba, Tengnoupal, Mao and Tamei constituencies, respectively. 

The second phase is expected to be a straight contest between the BJP and Naga People’s Front in Chandel constituency, while BJP and Congress will face off in Nungba. There will be a triangular fight in five assembly seats of Khangabok, Wangjing-Tentha, Sugnoo, Mao and Ukhrul.
