On Day Of 72nd Anniversary Of First Parliament Session, PM Modi, Amit Shah Urge Voters For 'Decisive Mandate'

Lok Sabha Phase 4 Voting: PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have urged voters to strengthen India with a 'decisive mandate' by voting in the fourth phase of polling.l

Lok Sabha Phase 4 Voting: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday urged voters of all the 10 states to participate in the polling process in large numbers, particularly the first-time voters and women electorate of the nation. "In today’s 4th Phase of the Lok Sabha elections, 96 seats across 10 States and UTs are going to the polls. I am sure people in these constituencies will vote in large numbers and the young voters as well as women voters will power this surge in voting. Come, let’s all do our duty and strengthen our democracy," he said in an X post.

This year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a unique approach to appeal to the voters. PM Modi and his Cabinet have taken to posting in the regional languages of the states going to the polls in each phase along with English and Hindi. On Monday, too, PM Modi and his ministers posted on X and urged voters to participate in the Lok Sabha polls in 9 states and 1 Union Territory in large numbers.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah appealed to the electorate of the nation to give their mandate for a "decisive government" to "promote India's cultural heritage". "As the voting for the 4th phase of the elections begins today, I appeal to all to vote for a decisive government that will continue to promote India's cultural heritage and develop infrastructure, infuse power into the farm sector and accelerate industrial growth, fortify national security, reform administrative and legal processes, uplift the poor, and facilitate youth with new opportunities to build a developed nation," Amit Shah posted on X.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi reminded the country that the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024 was being held on a day that the first Lok Sabha of the nation convened on May 13, 1951. The first Lok Sabha elections, held between October 25, 1951, and February 21, 1952, were the longest elections in the history of the nation. The ongoing Lok Sabha elections 2024 are the second-longest polls spanning 44 days.
