Modi completed a total of 206 public outreach events, including rallies and roadshows, since the Election Commission announced the poll schedule on March 16. The 2024 campaign has surpassed his previous record in the 2019 elections, where he had nearly 145 public engagements, and spanned over 76 days compared to 68 days in 2019.
The Congress's electioneering for the 2024 polls, which started slowly on March 16, picked up the pace with the party's top leadership engaging with the electorate, party's Rahul Gandhi led the campaign for over two and a half months.
During the 75-day campaign period, from March 16 to May 31, Gandhi engaged with the public through election rallies, roadshows, public interactions, and other campaign events, including Nyay Sammelans and Nyay March.
The Wayanad MP addressed a total of 107 poll rallies and public interaction programs during the 75-day period. In the later phases of the campaign, he was seen addressing at least two election rallies daily.
