In Major Blow To BJP, MP Brijendra Singh Joins Congress Ahead Of Lok Sabha Polls

Earlier in the day, Brijendra Singh quit from the primary membership of the BJP.

The Bharatiya Janata Party faced a blow on Sunday after MP Brijendra Singh joined the Congress party in Delhi in the presence of party president Mallikarjun Kharge and Congress leader Ajay Maken among others.

As per ABP News sources, the Hisar MP was unlikely to get a ticket by the BJP this time for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls after the saffron party forged an alliance with Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) in Haryana.

"I extend gratitude to the party, National President Sh. JP Nadda, Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, & Sh Amit Shah for giving me the opportunity to serve as the Member of Parliament for Hisar," he added.

He was a member of the Public Accounts Committee (India) and Standing Committee on Defence (India).
