'Preparing For May 25 To Give 'Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se...': AAP Holds Walkathon In Support Of CM Kejriwal
Delhi ministers Gopal Rai and Saurabh Bharadwaj and Mayor Shelly Oberoi participated in 'Jail ka Jawab Vote se' Walkathon event to protest against CM Arvind Kejriwal's arrest.
The Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday held a 'Jail ka Jawab Vote se' Walkathon event in support of jailed supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The event was attended by senior party leaders including Delhi ministers Gopal Rai and Saurabh Bharadwaj, and Mayor Shelly Oberoi.
Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in March this year in a money laundering case linked to the excise policy scam.
"The way the BJP government has arrested and jailed Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who was elected with a huge majority, without any evidence, without any FIR, in the middle of elections, the people of Delhi are furious about this," Rai said while speaking to news agency ANI.

"AAP workers and youth are protesting against this in different ways and are preparing for May 25 to give 'jail ka jawab vote se'...," he added.
Attacking the Bharatiya Janata Party, MP Sanjay Singh said, "BJP has been exposed. It has crossed all the limits of shamelessness. Corrupt leaders like Ajit Pawar, Ashok Chavan, Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Suvendu Adhikari joined the BJP. This shows that BJP isn’t against corruption."
The elections on all seven Lok Sabha seats of Delhi will take place on May 25 wherein the AAP and Congress are contesting in an alliance.
“Through this walkathon, we want to make people understand the power of their votes and to be aware that there is a need to save the democracy and Constitution,” said Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi.
