AAP Announces Final 4 Candidates For Punjab, SAD Turncoat Pawan Kumar Tinu To Contest From Jalandhar

The AAP, which is a constituent of the opposition I.N.D.I.A bloc, is contesting the parliamentary polls in Punjab on its own.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday released a list of 4 Lok Sabha candidates for Punjab, which has 13 seats. The list names Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar (Ferozpur), Amansher Singh (Gurdaspur), Pawan Kumar Tinu (Jalandhar SC) and Ashok Parashar Papi (Ludhiana).

Tinu is a former Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader who joined the AAP recently. 

With this list, the AAP has declared the candidates for all of the state’s seats.

In its first list released in March, Congress turncoat Gurpreet Singh GP was announced as the candidate for Fatehgarh Sahib. Punjabi actor Karamjeet Anmol has been nominated from Faridkot.

The party’s second list was released on April 2.

The AAP, which is a constituent of the opposition I.N.D.I.A bloc, is contesting the parliamentary polls in Punjab on its own.

Polling for the state’s 13 seats will be held in the last phase on June 1.

The list comes at a time when AAP national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is lodged in Tihar jail over allegations of involvement in the alleged Delhi excise policy scam. On Monday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann met Kejriwal in jail.
