'Chose To End Unemployment, Inflation': Delhi CM Kejriwal Casts Vote Along With Family — Watch

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and his family voted together during the Lok Sabha election phase six. He said, he "voted against dictatorship, unemployment and inflation".

Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal reached with his wife Sunita Kejriwal and children at a polling station to cast their vote during the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha Election, on Saturday. 

While speaking to the media, the Delhi CM said he had voted to end unemployment and inflation.

"I voted today with my father, wife and children. My mother is very ill. She could not go. I voted against dictatorship, unemployment and inflation. You too must go and vote," he said.

Delhi CM urged voters to come out and support his party which he said was standing against dictatorial thinking.

He said that people should ask their family, relatives and friends to vote as well. “In this great festival of democracy, each of your votes will be against dictatorial thinking and strengthen the Indian democracy and constitution. Go to the polling booth and show with your vote that there is democracy in India and democracy will remain," he said.

Earlier in the day, Delhi Minister and AAP leader Atishi cast her vote, while speaking to the media she said, "I hope that the people of Delhi and the country will come out of their homes and vote despite the heat. Elections are a festival of democracy and it is the responsibility of every person to participate in it". 

The polling for phase six of the Lok Sabha elections on Saturday is taking place in 58 Parliamentary Constituencies (PCs) across eight States and Union Territories (UTs), including Haryana and the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi. Other states and a Union Territory participating in this phase include Bihar, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal. Simultaneously, 42 Assembly Constituencies in Odisha are also undergoing polls. The main contest people are eyeing is between I.N.D.I.A bloc and Bharatiya Janata Party in the national capital.
