Congress Has Reputation Of 85% Commission: PM Modi In Karnataka After Rahul Gandhi's 40% Commission Barb

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public gathering in poll-bound Karnataka's Kolar where he lashed out at Congress and JD(S).

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed a public gathering in poll-bound Karnataka's Kolar where he launched a scathing at both major opposition parties, Congress and JD(S). PM Modi said that it is needed to save the state from the 'corrupt grip' of Congress-JD(S) and alleged that the two parties are the biggest obstacles in the development of the state. The Prime Minister compared the Congress rule at the Centre before 2014 with the regime of his government and said that under BJP rule, India was looked upon as a bright spot by the world.

PM Modi's Attack On Congress And JD(S)

The Prime Minister termed Congress as an 'outdated engine' and said, "Development halted due to them(Congress). Congress has a bundle of fake guarantees. Thye doesn't fulfill any promise made to the public. 'Unfulfilled guarantees'  are their record. They betrayed the public, but BJP fulfilled all the guarantees by doing several development works."

He said that the gathering at the rally will make Congress and JDS 'lose sleep'. "Both parties are the biggest hindrance in the process of development. The public has clean-bowled them. We have to save the people of Karnataka from the corrupt grip of Congress and JDS," he added.

The PM said that Congress is back to giving false guarantees to the people, which they won't fulfil. "In 2005, they promised that they would electrify all households by 2009. However, till 2014, they had not even brought electricity to villages," he said.

PM Modi further said, "Congress is an 85 per cent commission party. Congress PM himself had said that for every rupee that goes to the farmers, only 15 paisa reaches them. The remaining 85 paise went to their leadership." The response came after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi termed BJP as a '40 per cent commission party'.

PM Modi Praises BJP's Work, Puts Forth Party's Dream In Karnataka

Laying down BJP's vision for the southern state, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in Kolar, "BJP’s sankalpa is to make Karnataka the No.1 state in India. That’s why it’s important to elect a double-engine BJP government. Congress’ old and outdated engine can never do development of Karnataka."

Focusing on the stability of the government at the Centre and in the state, the PM said, "Unstable governments can't have a vision. During the Congress regime, the world was hopeless of India, but as soon as BJP came to power, the world now looked up to India as a bright spot. Karnataka has decided to elect BJP. The double-engine govt is very important in the state for continuous development. During Congress and JDS rule the development pace slowed down."

"We all saw how India managed to tackle the pandemic. In India, we gave free vaccines to citizens when the rest of the world was struggling to fight the pandemic," the PM added.

PM Modi added that the elections in Karnataka are not just for deciding the MLA, Ministers and CM of the state for the next 5 years, but "the road map for Karnataka to lead the future of India for the next 25 years".

The PM said that the BJP government electrified 18,000 villages within 1,000 days. He added, "Congress made promises, they betrayed the people, however, the BJP fulfilled those promises."

Talking about benefits of farmers, PM Modi said, "It's the BJP government that provided farmers Rs 2.5 lakh crore directly in their bank accounts. Congress only made false guarantees and cheated farmers. But the BJP did the real work for them."
