In Kanhaiya Vs Manoj Tiwari LS Battle, Migrants Hold Sway In Poorvanchali-Dominated North East Delhi

The migrant population from Poorvanchal was one of the reasons why BJP's Manoj Tiwari won the seat in 2014 and 2019, but the Congress decided to test the waters by pitching Kanhaiya Kumar.

Elections 2024: In the North East Delhi parliamentary seat, the contest is between BJP’s sitting MP Manoj Tiwari and Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar. The BJP made an exception by retaining Manoj Tiwari from the seat, though it dropped all the six other sitting MPs from the national capital in this election. The Congress last month announced the surprise entry of Kanhaiya Kumar, who lost the 2019 election against BJP’s Giriraj Singh on CPI ticket in Begusarai, from the North East
