Jharkhand Assembly Elections: BJP Reaches Seat-Sharing Deal With NDA Partners
BJP and NDA partners reach a seat-sharing agreement for Jharkhand Assembly elections: BJP (68 seats), AJSU (10 seats), JD(U) (2 seats), LJP (1 seat).
The Bharatiya Janata Party has reached a seat-sharing agreement with its National Democratic Alliance partners for the Jharkhand Assembly elections. In a press conference on Friday, the BJP said that it will contest 68 of the 81 assembly seats in Jharkhand. Its ally, the All Jharkhand Students' Union, will fight in 10 constituencies, said Union minister and Jharkhand BJP's election committee co-incharge Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is also the BJP's Jharkhand election committee co-incharge, said Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United) will contest 2 seats and Chirag Paswan's LJP will contest 1 seat.

"The INDI Alliance government has ruined Jharkhand. This election is to save the identity of Jharkhand. The NDA will come out strong in the Jharkhand elections," he said.

Himanta said the seat equations could change if the situation demands.

Which Seats Has BJP Allotted To Its Allies For Jharkhand Elections?
According to Himanta, AJSU will fight in the Sili, Ramgarh, Gomia, Isagarh, Mandu, Jugsalai, Dumri, Pakur, Lohardaga, and Manoharpur constituencies. The JD(U) will contest the Tamar and Jamshedpur seats, while the LJP will fight from the Chatra constituency.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan said the NDA candidates for the Jharkhand Assembly elections will be announced soon.
The Jharkhand elections will be held in two phases on November 18 and 20 and the results will be declared on November 23.
