Here's what 'satta bazaar' predicts for Karnataka assembly elections

The odds are heavily in favour of BJP bagging not more than 92 seats.

Bengaluru: With only days left for Karnataka polls, various opinion poll surveys are being conducted to predict the results of the assembly elections. In this politically heated scenario, the ‘satta-bazaar’ (betting market) has also steamed up and is betting on who would take away the throne in the state. As per the betting mafias, there is a head-to-head competition; where Bharatiya Janta Party would prove to be the largest party and Congress would be at the second position, with only few votes lesser than BJP.  On the other hand, JD(S) can come forth as the third largest party and play the role of kingmaker. As per the betting mafias, no party will be able to form a government single-handedly and would need a support. As per the ‘satta-bazaar’ statistics, BJP would win with 92-94 seats; Congress would attain 89-91 seats; whereas JDS would get 32-34 seats. There are a total of 224 seats and a party needs 113 seats to form a government. The odds are heavily in favour of BJP bagging not more than 92 seats. The rate therefore, for a gambler is double. A person investing 1 lakh on the odds will get 2 lakh in return. However, according to the rules, he would lose all his money if BJP manages to get more than 93 seats. A betting is also taking place on how many seats will BJP or Congress win. Also, the mafias are also betting on VIP seats. The seats on which big names are contesting, huge amounts have been set for the same. Talking about VIP seats, the betting market is reflecting interesting figures, as they figures say that there is a tough competition on Siddaramaiah’s Chamundeshwari seat, whereas he is likely to win from the Badami seat.
