With the political heat on and parties gearing up for the Twitter war to convey their messages to their voters, some key figures are set to hold the fort on the open communication platform that has over 3.4 crore users in the country.
NEW DELHI: With the political heat on and parties gearing up for the Twitter war to convey their messages to their voters, some key figures are set to hold the fort on the open communication platform that has over 3.4 crore users in the country.
There are, however, some key influencers who are going to spread the election keywords in the run-up to the seven-phase parliamentary election starting April 11.
Talking about the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the 13-member National IT and Social Media Campaign Committee is headed by National Vice President Shyam Jaju, who is very active in Twitter.
The BJP Social Media Committee has IT Cell head Amit Malviya with 260K followers. Currently struggling with the task to up the hacked BJP website, Malviya is an avid tweeter.
Other top BJP tweeters are National Spokesperson Nupur Sharma (176K followers), Khemchand Sharma (27.4K followers) and Vijay Chauthaiwale (25.3K followers), who is In-Charge, Foreign Affairs Department, in the party.Excited and looking forward to Lok Sabha elections 2019! #PhirEkBaarModiSarkar

The Congress Social Media Cell has five convenors -- Hasiba Amin, Ruchira Chaturvedi, Saral Patel, Pranav Vachharajani and Zoheb Shaikh.
