Hanuman Beniwal's Anger Brings To Fore INDIA Bloc's Internal Rift Within A Week Of Election Results
Hanuman Beniwal, chief of the RLP, was not invited to the INDIA bloc's meeting after the elections, despite being a member of the coalition.
Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) leader Hanuman Beniwal, who bagged Rajatsthan's Nagaur seat in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, is peeved at the INDIA bloc for not inviting him to the alliance's meeting held in Delhi on Wednesday. The INDIA bloc held its first meeting on Wednesday after the better-than-expected performance in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Despite the RLP being a member of the alliance, Beniwal, the party's lone MP, was not invited.
Hanuman Beniwal said that the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party is a part of the India Alliance, yet he was not invited. "In the meeting of India Alliance, the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party and I are being ignored. Due to this, I am upset with the India Alliance, but I am not going with the NDA either," he said.
Earlier sources said that Hanuman Beniwal may attend the NDA meeting on Friday. On not being invited to the INDIA meetings, Hanuman Beniwal said: "I am in the Opposition alliance today, but no one knows what will happen tomorrow."

Hanuman Beniwal Previously Part Of NDA
Hanuman Beniwal was earlier a part of the BJP-led NDA. However, before this Lok Sabha election, he broke away from the NDA and formed an alliance with the Opposition parties. After winning the Lok Sabha elections from Nagaur, Hanuman Beniwal said: "When I broke away from NDA, they said I won because of them. I had then challenged them that this time they should try to win."
The supremo of the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party said: "The Congress leaders and workers put in all their efforts to ensure my victory from Nagaur and the result of that is that I won from here and BJP candidate Jyoti Mirdha lost, who spent up to Rs 100 crore to win this seat. From the very first day, we worked together. People from all communities voted for me but the Muslim community voted 100 percent."
'Will Get Work Done By BJP Govt'
Hanuman Beniwal further said that he will continue working for the people. "I shall work in everyone's interest. This is not my victory but the victory of the people of Nagaur. I shall take everyone along... The NDA's target of '400 paar' had failed... We do not have a government in the state, but we shall get the work done by the state government."
Hanuman Beniwal had formed an alliance with BJP in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Even then he had won by defeating Jyoti Mirdha. Jyoti Mirdha had contested the elections on a Congress ticket at that time.
