Let me assure that the Congress party is confident- we will put Goa back on the path to progress soon.
The party sources had earlier informed on Monday that Rahul Gandhi was back to India from his personal abroad visit.
Rahul Gandhi had held a meeting through video conferencing with the General Secretary KC Venugopal and Senior Observer of All India Congress Committee for Goa, P Chidambaram.
Gandhi took stock of the poll preparedness and Congress campaign strategy in the state where elections are scheduled to be held on February 14.
Earlier, the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) also denied any possibility of an alliance with the TMC for the upcoming Goa Assembly elections.
On Saturday, Chidambaram addressed a press conference where he said that his party would accept the support of any party who had the common task of defeating the BJP. he said that he had read TMC’s statement for an alliance but added that “let us wait and watch.”
