On January 31 this year, Hemant Soren was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the money laundering case related to an alleged land scam. While Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the central probe agency in March in excise policy scam. He is currently held in jail number 2 of Tihar prison complex.
A few days after Kejriwal was lodged in Tihar jail, Sanja Singh, who was arrested in the same case, was released on bail from the prison.
Slamming BJP, the AAP leader claimed that the corruption cases against the opposition leaders were scrapped after they join the saffron party. "After 2014, a Modi washing powder has come which cleans all your corruptions. It removes all stains in a pinch," he stated.
In an attack against BJP, Singh named the leaders who prior to joining the saffron party were accused of corruption. These names included: Ajit Pawar, Chhagan Bhujbal and Hasan Mushrif, former Congress leaders Ashok Chauhan, Himanta Biswa Sarma and Narayan Rane, and, ex-TMC leaders Mukul Roy and Suvendu Adhikari.
"BJP's slogan is the more corrupt you are, the higher your rank," he stated.
