Delhi Election 2025: CM Atishi declared assets worth Rs 76.93 lakhs in her nomination affidavit for the Kalkaji seat. Her assets have increased by Rs 17.14 lakhs since 2020.
Delhi Election 2025: Chief Minister Atishi filed her nomination for the Kalkaji Assembly seat on Tuesday, 14 January, and submitted an affidavit detailing her assets and income. According to the affidavit, Atishi's total assets amount to Rs 76.93 lakh. She has added gold to her assets for the first time while forgoing a health insurance policy worth Rs 5 lakh.
Atishi's income for the financial year 2023-24 stands at Rs 9.62 lakh, marking a significant increase compared to Rs 4.02 lakh in 2022-23. Over the years, her income has shown a steady rise, with Rs 5.58 lakh reported in 2021-22, Rs 4.09 lakh in 2020-21, and Rs 3.41 lakh in 2019-20.
Atishi's affidavit highlights changes in her declarations over the years. Her total assets have increased from Rs 59.79 lakh in 2020 to Rs 76.93 lakh in 2025. This period also marked the addition of gold jewellery worth Rs 1 lakh.
The affidavit also revealed that Atishi has no personal vehicle, shares, or loans. Additionally, a health insurance policy worth Rs 5 lakh, listed in her previous affidavit, is no longer mentioned.
The 2025 affidavit does not mention her spouse, whose assets were mentioned in the 2020 affidavit. Atishi’s current assets include Rs 30,000 in cash, savings accounts, and fixed deposits in both SBI and ICICI Banks.
Notably, Atishi listed herself as the “daughter of Vijay Kumar Singh” in this affidavit, compared to “daughter of Tripta Wahi” in 2020. This change follows a controversial remark by BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri, who alleged that Atishi had “changed her father.”
Legal cases against Atishi were also disclosed in the affidavit. She is facing cases related to criminal offenses, including criminal defamation, intentional insult, public mischief, promoting enmity between different groups, and criminal conspiracy. One of these cases is pending in Manipur. Prior to the 2020 elections, she was only involved in a single case of criminal defamation.
