BJP had invited me for talks but I did not go: Karnataka Congress MLA
As it is all number's game in Karnataka, allegations of poaching against BJP have intensified.
New Delhi: As BJP has been allotted a time of 15 days to prove majority in the Karnataka elections, allegations of poaching MLAs are mounting up on the single largest party.
Karnataka Congress MLA DH Hulageri has intensified the allegations by saying that the BJP had invited him for talks but he chose not to go.
After Governor Vajubhai Vala sent invite to Yeddyurappa to form government and gave it 15 days of time to prove majority, it is now all number’s game in the state. BJP has got 104 MLAs, while JD(S) and Congress collectively claimed majority with 117 MLAs. The Congress has alleged that the BJP is attempting to poach its MLAs to join its camp so that the road gets easier for the saffron party to form the government. At present Congress is keeping its MLAs in Eagleton resort. Congress had 78 victorious MLAs , but as per sources two MLAs have left reducing it to a strength of only 76 MLAs. However hours ago, Congress MLA Rajshekhar Patil has left Eagleton resort citing ill-health. Although, after coming out he said that there are all 78 MLAs inside the resort, sources however informed that two MLAs are missing. Congress is likely to move its MLAs to Kerala, depending upon the hearing tomorrow. The LDF government t has assured them security. Whereas JDS MLAs likely to be moved to Hyderabad or Vijayawada. Earlier sources informed that two MLAs of Congress had gone missing and were incommunicado. They are said to be close to Reddy brothers of the BJP. They were not present in the Eagleton Resort where other lawmakers were lodged. Also not seen in the bus travelling to Vidhan Sabha where Congress staged a protest. On Wednesday, JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy made a sensational claim accusing the BJP of offering Rs 100 crore to each of his MLAs. "JD(S) MLAs are being offered Rs 100 crore each. Where is this black money coming from? They are supposedly the servers of poor people and they are offering money today. Where are the income tax officials," Kumaraswamy asked.BJP had invited me for talks but I did not go: Karnataka Congress MLA D.H. Hulageri
