'Bed Rest' War: Watch PM Modi, Tejashwi Yadav Make Jibes At Each Other Amid Lok Sabha Polls

Prime Minister Modi and RJD leader Yadav are locked in a battle of verbal jabs over who would send whom for bed rest after the Lok Sabha poll results are declared on June 4.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav are engaged in a war of words over who will send whom for "bed rest" after the ongoing Lok Sabha election results are declared on June 4. Tejashwi Yadav earlier said on multiple occasions that he had been advised bed rest by doctors after he sustained a hip injury. However, he said he would not rest until he sent Narendra Modi for bed rest.

"The doctor has advised bed rest for my hip injury. He has asked me not to stand or participate in poll rallies for three weeks due to the pain. However, I shall not rest until I arrange for Narendra Modi's bed rest," he said at one poll meeting. "Tejashwi doesn't need bed rest, Modi does," he said at another. The former Deputy CM of Bihar said he is conducting his poll rallies wearing a belt and taking injections to minimise his pain.

On Tuesday, PM Modi hit back at the RJD leader saying that people born with a silver spoon will never know what hard work is. Addressing a public rally in East Champaran, PM Modi said, "Those who are born with a silver spoon do not know what hard work is. I have heard that someone here is saying that after June 4, Modi will have bed rest but I pray to God that there should not be a bed rest in the life of any citizen of the country. Every citizen of the country should be full of energy but what else can be expected from the successor of Jungle Raj? These people have no issue in this election except abusing Modi."

"Jungle Raj" is a term often used by the BJP to define the state of law and order in Bihar before 2005 when mostly Lalu Prasad Yadav's RJD & Janata Dal and the Congress were in power.
