'Arvind Kejriwal To Lose Deposit In Delhi Polls': BJP's Parvesh Verma's Claim Ahead Of New Delhi Contest

Verma, who is contesting against Kejriwal, said, "The biggest issues are the civic problems here, which have not been resolved in the last 11 years. The biggest problems here is of drinking water."

Parvesh Verma, BJP's candidate in the New Delhi assembly constituency, said that former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal would lose his deposit in the upacoming assembly polls in the national capital.

Verma, who is contesting against Kejriwal, said, "The biggest issues are the civic problems here, which have not been resolved in the last 11 years. One of the biggest problems here is that in the 22 settlements in the area, there is no drinking water."

The BJP candidate also claimed that the AAP convenor would lose the election with a record margin and added that the people are "very angry" with the AAP government.

"My only aim is defeating (Arvind) Kejriwal. I will defeat him with such a margin that he could even lose his deposit," Verma said in an exclusive interview to ABP News.

"Kejriwal has been lying in the three elections. But this time it is not going to work because people understand that Kejriwal only lies," he further said.

Speaking on AAP's allegations against him of distributing cash, the BJP leader said, "When Kejriwal promised to give Rs 2,100 and if he levelling allegations against me, then he is also accusing himself. He is saying that if you vote for AAP, he will give you Rs 2,100. I said that the announcement of the election date has not been announced. His government has Rs 75,000 crore budget. But I can only spend the money which my organisation has."

He also hit out at AAP over the water bills in the capital saying, "Recently, he (Kejriwal) told people not to pay their water bills because he would waive them. His government is still in power today. The elections haven’t even been announced yet—why not waive the bills right now?”

Parvesh Verma is contesting the New Delhi assembly seat in the Delhi Assembly polls. He is locked in a triangular fight against AAP candidate Arvind Kejriwal and senior Congress leader Sandeep Dixit.
